Ice Makers For All
Whilst O’Connells specialise in commercial ice makers, did you know that they can also provide residential ones as well? Nothing keeps the party going like a long term supply of ice to keep the food fresh and the drinks continuously cold.
Outside the home, commercial ice machines are essential for restaurants, bars, hotels, hospitals, and any other businesses that require a reliable supply of ice. These machines offer more than just convenience—they ensure customer satisfaction, enhance operational efficiency, and support food safety and quality standards. Whether you need ice for drinks, food display, or medical purposes, a high-quality commercial ice machine is a smart, high-return investment for any business with high-volume ice demands.
A commercial ice machine is more than just a cooling tool—it’s a vital component of efficient, high-quality service. With the ability to produce fresh, clean ice in large quantities, a commercial ice machine supports smooth operations, enhances customer satisfaction, and saves on costs associated with ice purchases and inefficient cooling methods. Reliable ice production also allows for more flexibility, whether that’s offering a wider range of beverage options, presenting seafood or salads attractively, or supporting healthcare services with safe, high-quality ice.
Regardless of the season, having a continual and steady stream of ice on hand is both critical in some environments and a nice to have in others. Get in touch with the team at O’Connells today to find out what options are available and to determine when would be the best time to implement an ice making solution.
Is It Just Ice?
Whilst you could be forgiven for thinking that the name of these units accurately describes there capabilities and function, however that would be selling them short. These machines are multi-functional, used to produce ongoing ice, typically in the form of cubes, flakes, or nuggets, for use in various commercial, industrial, or residential applications, as has already been articulated. One of the really great features of a residential or a commercial ice maker is that they are relatively plug and play.
For example, there are only three real elements that need to be considered when undertaking an installation from a connectivity perspective. First and foremost, you have your power requirements, with most residential and low end commercial ice makers being capable of running on a 10A 240V general power outlet (GPO). Some of the larger ones may require access to power supplies of 15A 240V or above, however these will be discussed with you in detail as the O’Connells team considers appropriate models.
From there the only two other connections required are the water inlet, for making the ice and connectivity to a drainage outlet. Once these are provided and connected, the ice maker will be ready to be turned on and start making ice. The only other thing that needs to be considered as part of a physical installation is air flow, otherwise the unit may not perform to the best of its ability. The team at O’Connells will take this info into consideration as well.
Finally, like any system of this nature, regular ongoing servicing is required in order to maintain optimum performance so ask the O’Connells team to create a custom service plan at the time of purchase.
